Interestingly, there are several venomous spiders in Victoria, including contrary to its name Sydney funnel web spiders, mouse spiders and even huntsman are technically venomous.  Except for the Redback and funnel web, most spiders lack the fangs powerful enough to penetrate human or pet’s skin.  The only recorded deaths from venomous spiders in Victoria are from redback spiders.
